Durham Workshop on Environmental intelligence: Measuring and Communicating risks from Radioactivity in the Oceans

A dedicated Workshop on the latest developments of Environmental intelligence: Measuring and Communicating risks from Radioactivity in the Oceans was organised by the Senior Common Room of University College, the Institute of Hazard, Risk and Resilience Forecasting Lab together with Durham University Business School during the course of a day on 21 November 2022.

The Workshop was held in the historic Castle in the Durham campus and featured three very interesting presentations: ‘’Radioactivity and Ocean Intelligence’’, ‘’Pricing the term structure of derivative securities on un-traded risks’’ and ‘’Communicating risks from Radioactivity in the water’’. Following the presentations, a discussion coordinated by Prof. Kostas Nikolopoulos focused on the RAMONES project and the potential of its recent and future results. The event was attended by approximately 20 persons, scientists and general audience.
