IST and NTUA teams gathered at Canary Islands, Spain, for field experiments involving the RAMONES Autonomous Surface Vehicle (ASV), in a partnership with ROC-SIANI. Activities took place from July 21st to 26th and involved:
• Hardware integration tests in the ASV after PLOATECH’s new hardware instalation;
• Testing of communications between Autonomous Underwater Glider (AUG) and ASV;
• Assessing the interoperability of the AUG-ASV system (position measurements of AUG, reception of AUG telemetry and gamma-sniffer data);
• Gaining insights on ASV operations and allowable maneuvers, towards to improvement of AUG-ASV cooperative missions.
This was a great team work and all the partners had the opportunity to discuss technical issues and better solutions to problems that arose.
