We are pleased to provide an update on our progress with the RAMONES project at the Universidad de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. Our current focus has been on preparing the A-TIRMA sail drone for upcoming experiments. Significant advancements have been made, including the installation of crucial communication and navigation components, ensuring readiness for remote operations. The electronics have been thoroughly tested and are operational, with the USBL/modem transducers from Evologics and the USBL electronics housing from PLOATECH successfully installed.
Our collaborative efforts have effectively prepared us for the forthcoming Kolumbo experiments. We extend our sincere gratitude to all our partners, particularly the Universidad de Las Palmas and the Research Center SIANI, for their invaluable collaboration and hospitality.
The next step will be the installation of the software by the remaining RAMONES partners.
